Need a taxi during King’s Day?

King’s Day promises to be another pleasant, but also quite busy and chaotic day in Amsterdam and at our headquarters.

In order to manage all the crowds in the right direction, the municipality of Amsterdam has closed large parts of the city center of Amsterdam to car traffic on Thursday 27 April between 05:00 and 20:00.

This means that it is only possible to order a taxi in certain places on this day.

The accessible locations are shown on the map below. Customers can also order a TCA taxi via the TCA app or via Whatsapp (020-7×7). Then enter a departure address outside the restricted area.

Duivenvoorde Castle

Duivenvoorde Castle in Voorschoten is a unique and still-inhabited castle and estate whose roots date back to the 13th century. All year round, you can walk in the surrounding English landscape park and enjoy the rich history of this unique place.

During the museum season, from April to October, you can also take a look inside the castle and discover how the nobility used to live in the house – which is still in its original state.
